Operation Kid Comfort is a program of the Armed Services YMCA and provides photo-transfer quilts to children of deployed service members. I volunteered to make some quilts for the office on Elmendorf-Richardson Joint Base. I will probably never meet the children for whom I make these quilts. It is enough to know they have the quilts when their parent is far from home.
